Online and On the Ground
I keep saying that effective activism is neither virtual nor physical, but a robust combination of the two, and here's a great example: "Blog for America: BloggerStorm!" aggregates posts by various bloggers who have gone to Iowa to work for Howard Dean's campaign.
The photo above is a Dean Perfect Storm team, blogged by Robert Baren.

Fine looking group! Love that international orange theme!
Go Team!!
I suppose that somebody has to be the contrarian, or is that skunk at the garden party?
I strongly agree that the solution must be and both, but there are many other factors to also consider. For example, you might want to consider that Kerry's and Gep's IA workers look like, talk like and walk like Iowans. Deans' red hatted crusaders are being compared, at least by some, to a Saturday Night Live sketch.
Members of the GD listserve had a long exchange yesterday on the nature of, and fate of, campaigns that are crusades. It will be very interesting to see if Dean's crusade is the exception that proves the rule.
Given recent trends, as indicated by assorted polls, my guess is that Kerry will do very well on Monday.
Color me skeptical about the negative hat comments.
Here in the midwest they're pretty doggone common. Just a little out of season since deer hunting has come and gone.
I'm sure if I went up north, though, that I'd see these with frequency. Maybe they're just gearing up for Michigan!
Some strange feeling seized me when I read your comment, Rayne.
Does Rayne's post look strange here?
No. So Rayne, what is the point in your comment?
There always has to be some point.
Nothing personal tho.
