Ben Barnes on Kerry and Bush

Ben Barnes, former Lieutenant Governor of Texas, talks about patriotism, John Kerry, and George Bush. He mentions very frankly how he got George W. Bush and other children of wealthy Texans into the National Guard as an alternative to Vietnam, and how he regrets it now. [Link]

Everytime I see someone sorry about letting the Bushes get away with something I get sick.

I'm especially sick now of those sorry Congressmen and Senators that wiped their feet on my Constitution in order to let this Commander in Thief enjoy the privilege of having his own damn war. They should live with the memory of each and every dead soldier and civilian from this occupation. We should send them a picture and a biography cut short by premature death every day until we leave the hellhole. They should be impeached or they should resign upon our call.

I'm sick of the Senators who, not a one of them challenged the outcome of the 2000 election when persons Constitutional rights were disenfranchised under Jeb Bush and needed to be investigated. They should be dogged with the question of racism until they either resign or are voted out. Especially since they feign to be and support "equal opportunity" and "equal rights".

I'm very sick of a sorry Vatican who did not call for all Catholics resist supporting an illegal war by refusing to participate. Especially since it should have come from a Pope who had witnessed the illegal war on Poland by Hitler.

I'm sick of the supporters of the corporate class who are failing to see war profiteering. I'm sick that they include genocide as a secondary effect this time around (Inhalation of Depleted Uranium Round Dust), of both Iraqi civilians and the lower classes of our society fighting in this undeclared war. Especially since they all still blind to those current Bushes who supported Saddam and cut deals with other foreign powers to support their business involvements including places like Tanzania (gold) . Don't they know But then again how much they knew of those who supported the Nazi war machine and profited from the slave labor of Poles and Jews from Auschwitz like Prescott Bush and Roland Harriman? But I almost forgot most of their CEO salaries increased as well as their deductions and tax cuts this time around. Not paying really for a war makes it easy to hold to a different standard regarding any new "Leader". They will only become sick of him when the economy doesn't pick up before they have paid off the offshore yacht(s), Black Sea Villa, the Haitian hideaway, and/or Jackson Hole/Sun Valley/Aspen "Our People" winterings. Traitors to the people. Greedy to a Fault. Revoke Corporate Personhood.

I'm sick of talk show hosts that roll over and play dead on this Bush taking by Executive Order,
the rights of the people through their elective representatives to make law. Especially since "WE the People" own things like money used for faith based initiatives, and the REagan-Bush Sr. presidential papers. We are the ones who define the limits of our Freedom of Information and not the little puke in the White House. We should daily demand from our Congress the elimination of any Executive order not specifically authorized by law of the land.

I want my country safe from warlords, theocrats, and corporatists. I want it to fulfill the promise of a "New Secular Order" to show the rest of the world the sustainable way to create food, clothing, shelter and fuel with the least harm and the most highly developed culture. I want the politicians who will not truely honor my country,my Constitutional democratic republic with our Bill of Rights to get the hell out of the people's buildings and take the rat in the people's house with them. I want them to make/buy their own banana republic they can be happy in, a different political philosophy where every rat is for him/herself. Just leave us the hell alone in our quest to find our "more perfect union" and don't let the door slam on your ass on the way out.
