Example of democracy in a connected world

There are many ongoing efforts to convince swing, Nader, and non-voters to vote for John Kerry. Here's a new way: http://www.TipTheElection.org. It works like this:

1. You go to TipTheElection.org, register as a sender (your privacy is assured).

2. You create a list of friends, colleagues, and relatives in swing states who aren't hard-core Bush supporters. For each, you note their primary issue of concern and their email address.

3. Every few days, the site will send persuasive articles to the people on your list. The emails will come from you, not from some nameless server. Each person receives articles related to their primary issues. The articles are the best of those that Kerry supporters have been forwarding around amongst ourselves for months.

4. The lists will not be used for any other purpose. After the election, the lists will be deleted. (We are strong privacy advocates.)

This service is free; created by three Web-geeks who want very badly to help John Kerry defeat George W. Bush.

Please tell your friends and colleagues about this site!
