		<description>One thing that strikes me is that the world has shifted to blogging, from email.  

Steven Clift - an early pioneer of such e-democracy efforts as Minnesota E-Democracy - has focused primarily on email lists.  I recall him pointing out that email lists are a truly egalitarian method of communication, with everyone on an equal footing - setting a much different tone than blogs, and candidate sites, where the focus is always on a personality (either the blogger or the candidate).</description>
