The collapse of the Western family values is clearly by virtue of highly increased promiscuity and encouragment of a sexually oriened society. Islamic and third world peoples have a different perspective on these issues. Unless there is some "real collaboration"in these divergent view points, how can traditional values be reasserted in Western society? I am thus asonished that in a place like Qatar, an Islamic country, the Family Insitute is under the control of a Professor from a US College who has as much at stake in keeping a cushy job than to work for the beleagured family values. Certainly we have many problems in the Family in Muslim countries,but who will bring them out for discussions in the open?
